Membership-based qualifications
To gain a qualification as Affiliate, Associate or Fellow, one has to register as a member. Our target groups are people who have a university degree or equivalent qualification from any institution, as the basis for becoming members of the Applied Management and Research College, and who will share our passion to help shape its vision, mission and strategic objectives.
AMRC UK is open to people who are new or already actively engaged in research and are interested in seeking support to publish their articles. We are also interested in having individuals join us who are passionate about advancing their careers, sharing knowledge and collaborating on real-life projects to enhance their practical skills and experience.
Who can apply for the membership?
You can be a graduate in any discipline, a Master’s student, MPhil, PhD researcher or a qualified PhD.
What to expect as a member
By joining this college as a member, you will actively participate in the college’s activities and contribute to the support and encouragement of yourself and other members in attempts to publish articles. Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging in discussions and sharing knowledge on the college's platform.
- Attending courses, workshops, and seminars organised by the college.
- Contributing resources and expertise to support fellow members
Resources and Support
Develop resources and support services to assist new academics in the publishing process, such as workshops, seminars, access to publishing guidelines/journals and peer review.
Mentorship and Collaboration
Experienced Academics will mentor new members (researchers and practitioners) in learning new skills and navigating the process of publication. This will be dependent upon the expertise, interests of research and goals of the new members. By fostering a collaborative environment, members can connect with each other to share ideas and collaborate on research projects and co-author articles.
Membership Conditions and Entry Requirements for the Award of Qualifications
There is no specific time limit for each membership and the length of time spent on gaining each level of qualification will be according to each individuals competency. Pathway to the next membership level will be based on agreement with your supervisor to submit your report.
Membership Levels

Affiliate Membership (Min 1 year duration)
This membership is ideal for anyone who needs to get practical experience and training to learn the skills to manage tasks related to a small project or to work at frontline management in a medium or large sized organisation.
Entry Requirement to Enrol as an Affiliate Member
To be considered as an Affiliate member you must possess a minimum Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) in any field. If you have a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than Business Management, you will be required to complete the Foundation level CPD topics.
Affiliate Membership Conditions
- Commitment to research– Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing their knowledge and understanding through research. This can be demonstrated through plans for future activities.
- Ethical Conduct - Applicants must abide by a high level of ethical standards in their professional conduct and research practices. Both honesty and ethical behaviour are vital to promote trust and credibility within research.
- Contribution to the College’s Objectives - Applicants should convey how their experience and research interests can contribute to the mission of the college and how they support its objectives.
- Engagement with the College - Affiliate members will be expected to actively engage with the Research College by attending its monthly meetings, participating in discussions, supporting students who have enrolled on the College website for support & guidance and contributing to research projects.

Associate Membership
This membership is a pathway for individuals who have completed the Affiliate membership. It is ideal for anyone who needs to get the practical experience and training to learn the skills to manage tasks related to a medium-sized project or to work in middle management in a medium-sized or large organisation. By completing Associate membership, you will be able to provide consultancy to small and medium-sized organisations, to solve problems. Moreover, you will have the skills to start and manage an independent business.
Entry Requirement to Enrol as an Associate Member
To be considered as an Associate member you must possess a minimum BA (Hons degree in any field (a Master’s degree would be preferred, or the candidate will have completed a research-based course with AMRC UK.
Associate Membership Conditions
- Professional experience – Applicants should be able to demonstrate a profile of professional experience in the business sector and/or academia.
- Interest and Research – Applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in research and ideally will have a minimum of ONE publication completed.
- Communication and collaboration skills – To be considered an associate member of the College, you need to possess strong communication and collaboration skills, which will demonstrate your ability to participate actively in monthly meetings, discussions, mentoring roles, and combined research projects.
- Ethical Conduct - Applicants must abide by high ethical standards in their professional conduct and research practices. Both integrity and ethical behaviour are vital to the credibility and reputation of the individual and of AMRC.

Fellow Membership
This membership is ideal for anyone who needs to get the practical experience and training to develop their skills to manage tasks related to large projects or to work at the senior level management in a medium or large size organisation. By completing the Fellow membership level, you will be able to provide consultancy to medium and large organisations to find and solve problems. Moreover, you would will be able to start and manage an independent business.
Entry Requirements to Enrol as a Fellow Member
To be considered as a Fellow member you must meet the following entry requirements:
- Hold a Master’s degree in any discipline, or preferably a PhD, and hold the Associate membership with AMRC UK .
- Must have a distinguished record of research and scholarly achievements in the field of business. This can include high-quality publications, recognition by peers, and invitations to speak out at events and conferences.
- Have a track record of innovative research contributions.
Fellow Membership Conditions
- Professional experience and mentoring – Applicants should be able to demonstrate they have experience in mentoring students and new scholars and demonstrate they are committed to nurturing the next generation of researchers under the umbrella of AMRC UK.
- Ethical Conduct and Professional Integrity – Applicants must uphold a high standard of ethical conduct and professional integrity in their research, teaching and professional activities.
- Commitment to the college's mission – Applicants should convey how their expertise, experience and research interests will align with the mission and objectives of the college and demonstrate their commitment to actively contribute to AMRC UK goals.
Membership Fees and Benefits
By becoming a member and working towards these 3 long term qualifications (Affiliate, Associate and Fellow) you will have access to many benefits which can include: CPD, guidance on projects, free participation in conferences, guidance for publishing and waived examination fees.
The membership fees for each level – Affiliate, Associate and Fellow – are as follows:
Associate level membership fees – £1000
Affiliate level membership fees – £2000
Fellow level membership fees – £3000 (additional benefits at this level include participating in higher level projects and higher level publishing)
Please note: At the time of confirmed registration with the College, you are required to pay 50% of the fees. The remaining 50% must be paid within three months. Further details will be discussed in detail with every candidate after confirmed receipt of first payment.

Application Process
If you are interested in becoming a long-term member (Affiliate, Associate or Fellow member), you can apply by completing the ‘Membership Application Form’.
Who approves my membership?
All membership applications will be reviewed by the College’s Membership Committee/Administrators.
Code of Conduct
All members will be expected to adhere to AMRC’s of conduct that promotes mutual respect and professionalism. Any discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of your membership.
Confidentiality
College management will ensure the confidentiality of the personal data of the applicant and its members.
Membership Renewal
All members are required to renew their membership. Detailed renewal rules will be published upon approval by the competent authorities.
